Academic Vacancy for Department Of Turkish Language and Culture
The Department of Turkish Language and Culture at National Chengchi University in Taiwan invites applications for a full-time, open-rank faculty member. The start date of the position is August 1st, 2025.
Positions
Assistant professor, associate professor, or professor.
Required Qualifications
Native or near-native proficiency in English and Turkish. Earned PhD degree in Turkish, Turkology teaching, or related fields. Applicants should be able to offer Turkish, English, and Chinese taught courses.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability and interest in teaching Turkish Language, Turkish Literature, History or Culture. Applicants who are able to do research and guide master’s thesis and dissertation are preferred.

- At least two letters of recommendation
- Foreign academic credentials must first be verified by the Taiwanese Embassy or Representative Office abroad.
- Doctoral candidates who have completed coursework, passed the qualifying exams, and successfully defended their dissertation, but have not yet obtained the doctoral degree certificate, may provide a provisional degree certificate. However, the official doctoral degree certificate must be obtained before the employment start date.
