This seminar examines the geopolitical competition among major powers in Central Asia in the 21st century. It analyses how China, the United States, the European Union, and Russia have influenced political developments in the region, while also exploring Türkiye’s narratives and policy approaches toward Central Asia. As an emerging middle power, Türkiye shares historical, ethnic, and cultural ties with the region. The lecture will discuss how Türkiye constructs its regional discourse and manages geopolitical competition within the broader framework of great power rivalry.
